I agree that this would be a nice feature, however there are so many other solutions available that this does not seem to be an urgent feature to implement.

Yes, this has come up a lot and my biggest apprehension regarding this feature is that there are apps that do it so well and there is not much uncovered UX or feature design here. Whereas things like plugins, Snippets, etc have tons of ground left in the space. Correct me I’m wrong though please!

I would strongly prefer to have it in the launcher. Rectangle is great, but the point of a launcher, in my mind, is to do stuff fast without having to remember a hundred keyboard shortcuts. The beauty of Monarch and co. is that I can think “I want this window on the left,” do cmd+space “left,” and it’s done. Rectangle would require me to remember additional keyboard shortcuts - an extra step of indirection, whereas launchers directly correlate the thought with the action - not to mention it’s an extra background app I have to keep running.
To add to this, Rectangle supports URL actions to automate tiling functions. Right now, Monarch appears to take the window focus, which prevents the URL action from operating on the window that I actually want. If this could somehow be fixed, I’d have very little reason to complain.
