File search along with sub-folder to be searchable with the "Add New Folder" Command
I think one thing I like about Spotlight is how you can also search files within a folder. Although not super smart as it’s more of a keyword search but this is not present in Monarch yet. Hopefully, it can be implemented soon.

Absolutely essential, it's the second most used Raycat feature for me. Agreed that there needs to be a UI for a list of folders that are included in searches - maybe with an exception override for specific searches. For instance I don't want most of my searches running against my ~/Library folder but every now and then I want to search through it for a specific application's configuration file(s).

I have done a file search implementation and I'm wondering what users think:
Right now I just have files showing up directly in root search, no prefixes, but it's very easy to control which files show up by allowing the user to set the folders that are relevant to file search. What do you think of this?
It's like this because file search across 100% of the file system is never necessary, but would love to get thoughts @insignificant and @bold.gear8185

What about having a standard search like you suggest, without any prefix. but adding a "deep-search" to find a file/folder anywhere on the system using a prefix.

Hi, this is a feature that is essential for me. I am in academia and I have folders managed by other applications (usually a citation manager) that store research papers. These files are often named author-year-name and I use Alfred/Raycast to open the relevant file directly. I find it a little difficult to switch to Monarch without the ability to directly call up a file from my launcher.
