Color Picker improvements

Feature Requests

  • import color palettes from plain text files containing HEX color codes per line (like Pipette from Stefan Trost)

  • export all saved color palettes for backup

  • a button to purge the recent colors history (while saved palettes remain untouched)

  • rearrange the order of colors shown in Monarch, maybe pin the most important color to be always shown at the top?

    I know this would probably be a lot, but I use coolors.com for work a ton and to be able to build a color pallet based on the a couple colors I currently have would be awesome. Essentially a color palette generator based on color theory. You can see in more detail if you play around with the app.

    I already cant live without the color picker lol

    Oh I really like item 3 to purge recent colors history without affecting color palettes.

    Also thank you for the mockup, that is quite inspiring! Do you think that it could be that the double-column layout for the colors renders the text too small or do you think that's fine?

      Now that you mention it, the double-column layout might indeed render the text too small. How about an option to autoresize the Monarch color picker window itself vertically to show more colors? :D

      Also, can I edit my original post above? I can't seem to find an edit button. I forgot to request one more important feature: the ability to keep the Monarch color picker window open, like pin it to be always seen on the desktop like a regular app even if I click away to another program? Yesterday I needed to transfer 12 colors to a Google Slides document and I had to reopen Monarch each time.

        I can look and see if there is an enable button to edit these things, but I think that just adding a comment here and then I can definitely update the post for you (according to this UI at least).

        Also, yes, that is annoying to have to continuously reopen it. I think i have some ideas, let me play with them and circle back to this!
