Closing Monarch with a single "esc" click

Currently, clicking on “esc“ would result in returning to the empty search in monarch, however usually when clicking “esc” I would like to close the search altogether.

I would be great if this behavior could be configured in the settings.

Use-case:

I want to quickly use a calculator mode, and then close monarch.

Currently “esc“ would just initiate an empty search again.

In other words, closing monarch from inside a calculator takes two “esc” clicks.
