As a Monarch user, I would like to be able to search for and interact with all items in my 1Password database. This feature should also include shortcuts to copy passwords and logins.
as a Dashlane user I’m certainly hoping that there’s some something that could be done for us as well… hopefully some kind of framework that makes it easy to support a variety of password managers…

1Password already has their own “quick access” feature where you can trigger Monarch-like search with a shortcut and quickly copy usernames/passwords/OTPs and do other actions.
I know Alfred and Raycast have 1Password integration but I feel it’s redundant and somewhat clunky. Also, I don’t know about others, but I don’t feel comfortable about 3rd party apps having access to my passwords. It’s a potential attack vector if either of the devs decides to go rouge (not saying it’s going to happen).

What would be nice is to make a “database independent” password retriever.
Like, i’m using keepass, some other use 1password, bitwarden, apple keychain, kwallets… So it would be good to have an agnostic base to build and maintain password retriever with different supports easier 👌

What do you think is the likelihood that you would switch to Apple Passwords when that comes out with macOS Sequoia's stable release?

I’m already testing it (beta OS) and speaking for myself, there is no way I’m moving from 1Password. Apple Password brings nothing really new other than the standalone app.
